Friday Leaks

Welcome to the Inevitable Leaks Blog. Every Friday until summer we'll be using this blog to preview some chunk of the current beta version of Inevitable. It could be a piece of the manual, a selection of cards, a segment of the board, or some other goodie. We hope that you'll check back next Friday, add the feed to your feed-reader, or Delicious bookmark this page on Delicious

Leak No. 26 >> The Board, Part Two

Things are pretty busy at the suitcase that's currently Dystopian Holdings HQ, but we didn't want to miss this week's Friday Leak. Here's a second chunk of the board:

OK.  We're still busy working on fulfilling our promise to release a "Demo Version," a fully-playable version of Inevitable that could be downloaded and printed from home.  We've already released thirty cards, so what's left? Still to come are the following:

  • updated/redesigned versions of five playable Groups
  • the board (in nine tiles)
  • the "Citizen's Manual" (a rulebook) and the "Glorious Progress!" supplement (a guide to the board)

Time to start unveiling pieces of the board! Here's the "Institute Quadrant":

Leak No. 24 >> Cards >> The Free 30, Part Five

Here are the final six cards needed to assemble the Demo Version Deck! You'll notice that the 30th "card"--the sixth one on this sheet--is blank, in case you feel like devising a card of your own for your play group.

Leak No. 20 >> Cards >> The Free 30, Part One

OK.  It's time to shift into a higher gear.  Those of you who watched our Kickstarter pitch video may recall our promise to release a "Demo Version," a fully-playable version of Inevitable that could be downloaded and printed from home.  And now, we're going to begin making good on that promise.  Over the next two months, we're going to release the following:

  • updated and graphically redesigned versions of five playable Groups
  • the board (in nine tiles)
  • the "Citizen's Manual" (a rulebook) and the "Glorious Progress!" supplement (a guide to the board)
  • 30 cards from the 64-card FATE deck

We'll begin with the cards:  here are six for your perusal.

Vacation

There will be no Friday Leak this week; the Leak-Bot is on vacation. (Doing another huge batch of playtesting, actually.)

Leak No. 19 >> Scrip >> $50

in

And today we conclude our preview of Inevitable's money with this bill, featuring the terrifying beauty of Kali, the inebriating darkness / benevolent mother / destroyer goddess of Hindu myth, seen here in her ten-armed Mahakali form. BEHOLD!

50 dollar-dollar bill yall

And one final reminder: our Kickstarter fundraising campaign has only three days remaining.  We've bypassed our initial goal ($3000) by a nearly incoherent amount, and are pushing on to our "stretch goal" ($8500). This seemed completely impossible but we're only $125 away. Who will be the one to put us over the top? It could be you
